Why we need flowers?

Why we need flowers?

Why are plants important to us?

Plants maintain the atmosphere. They produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. Oxygen is essential for cellular respiration for all aerobic organisms. Plants provide us with food, fiber, shelter, medicine, and fuel. The basic food for all organisms is produced by green plants. In the process of food production, oxygen is released. This oxygen, which we obtain from the air we breathe, is essential to life. There are many reasons why people need flowers. Some of the most common reasons include:

Aesthetic value: Flowers are often used to decorate homes, gardens, and other outdoor spaces because of their beauty and visual appeal. They can add color, texture, and interest to a space, and can help to create a more inviting and pleasant atmosphere.

Symbolism: Plants have long been used to express emotions and convey messages. Different types of flowers have different meanings, and people often use them to express love, congratulations, condolences, and other emotions.

Events and occasions: Flowers are often used to celebrate special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and holidays. They can be used to create beautiful arrangements and centerpieces, and can help to add a festive touch to any event.

Gifts: Flowers are a popular gift choice for many people. They can be given to friends, family members, and loved ones to show appreciation, affection, and love.

Health benefits: Some research suggests that being around flowers can have positive effects on mental health and well-being. Flowers can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and can also improve mood and cognitive function.

Messenger of Paradise

With a central sense of human-centredness, it is indeed difficult to extend our care to other species. The psychologist Konrad Laurenz says that for man to be happy, he must return to the realm of the undivided object. In this modern age of steel and concrete, we are so far removed from nature that we are actually in a state of great spiritual isolation.

The reason why many people like to keep small animals and flowers is that these four-legged pets and silent plants follow us around and seem to symbolise that we retain a link with the paradise that has been cut off from us. We get from them the kind of integration of things that we cannot get from human society alone, and these animals and plants are actually messengers who guide us back to paradise.

Konrad Zacharias Lorenz (7. Nov.1903 – 27. Feb. 1989) was an Austrian zoologist, ethologist, and ornithologist. He shared the 1973 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Nikolaas Tinbergen and Karl von Frisch.

Not only that, they are usually beautiful too! No one can say no to a rose. Here are some nature quotes, some growing plant quotes. Which of these inspiring quotes about plants and flowers is your favorite quote?
